I don't know where to share my feelings, but I think Reddit is not the place because people there are not as friendly as here, at least on the gambling subreddit. This community is so awesome that it feels like home. Thank you so much, Daniel, for providing this platform.

Arbitrum and Optimism Airdrop

For Arbitrum airdrop, many users got thousands of tokens per address. At a price of $1-2 each, farmers who invested time and effort to farm multiple accounts might even make $50k-100k or more from it. Another famous Airdrop was Optimism. Both happened before I had any idea about what an airdrop is. When I saw the criteria of those two, I thought it wasn't that hard, and maybe I could earn a few thousand from farming airdrops.

At that time, two projects were highly anticipated: Starknet (STRK token) and zkSync (ZK token). So, I invested my time and effort into them. Of course, since it is Web3, there were various fees, mainly gas fees.

Often, my expectations were low. A profit of $1000 would be very good, and even $300-500 would make me happy. But it seems my expectations were still too high. Reality is cruel. Both of these projects left me empty-handed.

If you have no idea about Crypto Airdrops, imagine the following situation:
"For a college student who can't support himself, winning a $1000 jackpot twice (at different casinos) is a considerable amount. But the casinos falsely claim a slot machine malfunction and refuse to pay."
Oh, it's even worse than that because winning is all about luck, while farming these airdrops requires time and gas fees. Indeed, my interaction volumn were not high, but not even getting the minimum allocation is really disheartening! It's more like doing an internship where you expect to get some reward after six months to a year based on your performance, but they find various excuses not to pay you, not even the minimum amount, and you're powerless.

Starknet:

If eligible, you would get at least 500 tokens, which could be sold early for over $1000. However, the project chose to favor insiders instead of distributing tokens to real users. You had to meet all three requirements to be eligible, and one of them was having an account balance of at least 0.005 ETH at the snapshot time. This simple, crude rule excluded many real users. Although this was somewhat difficult for me at that time. I was running low on luck and money, so when I wanted to make a deposit, I just withdrew (bridge out) funds from those Ethereum L2 blockchains, planning to return when I had a decent win to farm those airdrops again. The snapshot was taken in November 2023, and I remember my luck was 100% super mega horseshit that month.
So, I missed out on $1000. I'm still a student with no job or income from internships. Additionally, the cost of living in China is significantly lower than in the US and Europe, so this amount of money is even more important to me.

ZKSync:

The current requirements are not as reasonable (compared to Optimism and Arbitrum), but they are acceptable, and I should be eligible. However, many people like me who should be eligible did not receive any tokens. There are numerous complaints on Twitter and Discord.
I don't know how much I would get if I were eligible. It's said the minimum is 450 (lower than this means 0), and amounts below 450 and above 100,000 are redistributed, so if eligible, minimum actual amount is over 900. If I were eligible, I would get 2000-5000 tokens as I have more than one wallet for sure. At the current pre-market price of $0.35, that would be $700-1750. And if it weren't for the inappropriate allocation plan causing a pre-market price drop of about 50%, the amount would double.

These two highly anticipated but disappointing projects both came my way. It seems all valuable airdrops are not for me. The largest airdrop I've received was from Shuffle, a crypto casino, which is also the only one worth over $100.

I play slot machines, and even at the minimum bet ($0.1-$0.3), I've won over $1000 four times, two of which were from Bonus Buys. Yet in Web3, a place with many potential money-making opportunities, the largest airdrop I've received was just $100. Now I'm very disappointed with Web3. I guess it's not for me until I can casually add $5k of liquidity on a random unknown DEX that might rug at any moment.

Many people farm airdrops because it's seen as a +EV activity. In a sense, anything with a potential positive return is an airdrop, not just in Web3. In a way, the giveaways here are also a type of airdrop: Interact with specific casinos and/or games for a chance of getting airdropped some Gamdom credit or Amazon gift card.

Also thanks for reading such a large chunk of random text that may or may not make sense.

Was really tilt, so went to Tombstone RIP to see if I can hit any miracle to make me feel better. Of course still on 0.1 bet.
After 6 hours of spinning with xBet I hit two 300x. Total win/loss? Around -3000x.
Oh no.

I made too many transactions on Arbitrum and Starknet but i dont think i will get something from these because they said same things for sui to. If you remember or know sui, there was a sui on sui you can mine sui and it was easy. The devs said you will get that suies which you mined on testned but after that they just randomly gave on discord.

After that time i said, okey i am done with airdrops ??
